Job Title: Senior Python Developer (Healthcare EDI)

Job Summary:

• Palmetto is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to build a Combined Edit Module (CCEM) for dental edits in a healthcare EDI environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Python expertise, be comfortable with data processing, and have experience working with X12/TR3 standards. The role also involves ensuring data integration with existing Java-based systems and collaborating on future Java-to-Python migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a Combined Edit Module (CCEM) for dental edits using Python.
• Ensure seamless data flow between Java-based applications and Mainframe systems (no mainframe coding required).
• Write, test, and debug high-quality, scalable, and efficient Python code.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in application development and system testing.
• Strong expertise in Python for backend development, data processing, and system integration.
• Experience with web-based technologies and software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with X12/TR3 (EDI standards) for healthcare transactions.
• Excellent problem-solving, system analysis, and debugging skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment with 24x7 support needs.
