What does an Inside Sales Associate do?
- Reviewing all pricing and order-related questions from order entry detailers, pricing department or customer, and working with customer and suppliers for resolution or correction.
- Consulting with Customers, Account Managers, and Inside Sales Engineers (ISE’s) to manage quotations for Instrumentation products, parts, and services that are in the best interest of the customer.
- Converting Customer purchase orders into sales orders using Experitec’s business system.
- Working with Experitec’s Order Administrators and Emerson’s Business Units to manage orders, including expediting when necessary.
- Proactively looking for ways to improve internal processes regarding quotations and order handling to provide better service to customers.
- Providing reports, including open quote reports, to Experitec’s Account Managers and Emerson Business Unit Leaders.
- Working with factory contacts to meet customer quotation and order requirements.
This position is part of our Inside Sales team with the specific title of Inside Sales Associate.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Associate degree with two or more years of relevant work experience OR high school diploma or equivalent with four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Two or more years of office work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Outlook email, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work onsite in office Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm and to occasionally work additional hours upon request.
- Ability to drive for the company with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass driving record background check.
- Ability to utilize personal vehicle for the majority of work travel AND ability to rent a car when requested by supervisor for work travel.
- Ability to independently travel domestically as needed for training opportunities which may include some overnights.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Basic understanding of measurement technology.
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
- Two or more years of experience creating and managing proposals/quotations that provide product solutions based on customer’s needs.
- One or more year(s) of experience working with Account Managers to increase sales by identifying opportunities and supporting / managing customer orders.
- Prior sales experience.
- Prior experience supporting a sales team.
