HR Specialist - US (Queens, Office based)
Our client is an established, global company in the Aviation/Logistics sector, operating in multiple
countries and acting as an industry leader in solving difficult freight and flight cargo needs.
We seek a highly motivated and experienced HR Specialist to manage the full employee lifecycle, ensure compliance with U.S. Labor laws, and drive key HR initiatives within the organization.
This role will oversee HR processes across three U.S. states (New York, Georgia, and Texas), supporting approximately 30 employees. It will serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers while working closely with group HR team, local authorities and the U.S. payroll provider.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience as an HR Specialist/Generalist, be familiar with the labor laws in New York, Texas, and Atlanta, and have a good recruitment understanding for these areas for future growth.
Responsibilities:
• Partner closely with department heads to understand business needs and develop tailored
HR solutions that drive performance, employee engagement, and talent retention.
• Guide and support managers in all aspects of people management, including employee
relations, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Manage recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
• Drive and implement group-wide HR programs, including performance management and leadership development.
• Handle employee records, contracts, benefits administration, and offboarding processes.
• Ensure full compliance with U.S. Labor laws and company policies, serving as the go-to HR
expert for employment regulations.
• Oversee and track required employee training programs.
Support leadership and organizational development initiatives. Monitor employee insurance programs and collaborate with the U.S. payroll provider to ensure smooth payroll processes.
• Generate employee data reports, manage annual performance evaluations, and oversee
salary review requests based on market benchmarks.
• Plan and manage employee engagement events and wellness activities, ensuring alignment
with company culture and values.
Oversee welfare budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for employee events and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar.
• 3 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR operations, compliance, and employee
lifecycle management. High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Labor laws, particularly in New York, Georgia, and Texas.
• Experience providing HR support in a multi-state environment.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional
teams. Strong analytical skills for reporting and benchmarking compensation data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support employees and managers.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
