Foam and Fiber Manufacturing company located in Woodstock, CT is seeking a Direct Hire Foam Receiver to join their team.
Schedule: 6:30am- 3:00pm
Starting Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 / Hour (Bonus opportunities available)
Job Summary
The Foam Receiver is responsible for receiving materials and supplies, unloading, or unpacking, marking product with codes to be identified, and stocking materials in storage locations. Duties include maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing product shipments
Foam Receiver Description
- Manage the receipt and dispatch of shipments, ensuring timely processing of both inbound and outbound goods.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and maintain precise data logging.
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and assist with loading products for outbound deliveries.
- Cross-reference incoming and outgoing shipments with bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other relevant documents to ensure accuracy. Conduct quality checks on all materials.
- Verify product quantities by counting and auditing inventory on a daily basis.
- Label incoming materials for easy tracking and identification.
- Properly store products in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Safely operate various powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and blade trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
- Distribute materials to the appropriate departments to support the manufacturing process.
- Accurately pick and load products for outgoing shipments as required.
- Utilize relevant software applications to process shipments efficiently.
- Prepare necessary shipping documentation, including tally sheets and other paperwork.
- Learn and familiarize yourself with product names, part numbers, and specifications
Foam Receiver Requirements:
- 2 years forklift operating experience and knowledge of all safety rules and regulations required
- Clamp truck experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to work with bar code scanning and inventory control devices.
- Must present a professional image to internal and external clients.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Must be able to lift consistently and safely 50 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions quickly.
- Excellent attendance.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and work under pressure
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills are required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
