What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer position at Expert Staffing?
Our client is HIRING Extrusion Packers in Athol, MA! These are temp to hire positions with a growing manufacturing company.
Schedules: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available
Starting Rate: $17.50
Packer Essential Functions:
- Ensure that the quality standards and productivity performance goals are consistently met across all manufacturing areas.
- Oversee that manufacturing operations adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS), Health and Safety standards, and Environment Management System (EMS) requirements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate data and complete regular reports related to production performance, including any key metrics or tracking required.
- Review each order thoroughly, understand specific work instructions, and undergo certified training to ensure proper execution of tasks.
- Calculate the required number of boxes and packaging materials before production to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Close out production orders in accordance with established work instructions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Provide relief for breaks and lunches when needed, maintaining continuous coverage on active production lines.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety protocols are strictly observed, and maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Packer Skills & Requirements:
- Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds to support operational needs.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends, as needed to meet production demands.
- Ability to pass drug screen
- Composite Toe Shoes required
