SAP Data Management Lead – SD / MM / Master Data

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Expert Technical Solutions is seeking a dynamic SAP Data Management Lead to join our team. You’ll be instrumental in implementing and supporting next-generation knowledge systems powered by SAP S/4 for our clients’ businesses. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with order management, operations, and supply chain teams, alongside our Data Maintenance and Governance organizations, to design and execute end-to-end processes. Your contributions will drive business transformation across ERP, customer experience systems, and reporting/analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

As a functional lead for our Master Data Governance solutions, you will:

• Collaborate with business SMEs and technology stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical solutions within SAP S/4.
• Design, configure, and test SAP solutions while maintaining comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration documents, and test plans.
• Provide timely production support and troubleshooting for user-reported issues.
• Drive solution enhancements and oversee all project phases, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training, implementation, and support.
• Partner with SAP module owners to identify master data impacts on downstream functions.
• Define and influence data governance solution roadmaps and serve as the primary contact for cross-functional master data design.
• Lead the Master Data Sustain organization with opportunities to manage team resources.
• Conduct root cause and impact analyses while delivering effective training and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with key business stakeholders to deliver and support master data solutions.
  
  
  

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP SD, MM, or Master Data functional processes, including IMG configuration of Business Partner, Customer, and/or Material Master.
• Proven track record in SAP implementation or support, covering the full development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, documentation).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with key business stakeholders.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business information systems or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in SAP MDG for Business Partner and/or Material Masters.
• Knowledge of master data best practices and industry standards.
• Experience with SAP S/4 implementation and Data Governance/Master Data Management solutions, including tools like Information Steward and Address Validation Tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Background in the Building Products industry.
• Broad cross-functional SAP knowledge and experience managing small teams.
