Job Type : Full Time Location : Melbourne, Florida Pay : Good pay and benefits! Job Description What you will be doing : Database Administrator
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert responsible for the configuration and maintenance of Oracle and SQL databases while ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability.
Implement regular system updates and patches, minimizing vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
Develop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation, striving for increased efficiency in operational processes.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices.
Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Experience you will need : Database Administrator
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Four years of Microsoft Windows and / or Linux systems administration experience.
Three years of direct experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Current / active TS / SCI security clearance.
Willingness to submit to a CI Polygraph if required.
Ability to support 30% offsite travel, work overtime, and lift equipment (20 lbs).
Preferred Additional Skills :
Experience supporting LINUX (RedHat REL 7 / 8, Centos, Ubuntu).
CCNA / CCNP and / or 3 years of experience managing Cisco routers and switches at the enterprise level.
Experience with VMware or similar virtualization software.
Experience with ansible.
Experience with Commvault or similar backup system software.
Experience managing systems under the NIST Risk Management Framework.
