Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at ID3 Group in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and experience in building custom scenic elements, exhibits, and other creative structures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Fabricate and assemble custom scenic elements, exhibits, and structures based on design drawings and specifications.
Operate and maintain a variety of carpentry tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
Perform on-site installations as needed, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to design.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in scenic fabrication or a related field.
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in metalworking, painting, or other fabrication disciplines.
Background in theatrical or event production.
Work Environment :
This position is based in our Atlanta, GA facility and may require occasional travel for on-site installations.
The work involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
