Exploring Minds Academy has an opening in our quality program. We are seeking a mature and reliable member to join our team who holds a Level 2 credential in the Colorado Professional Development Information System (PDIS).
We are a premier provider of early care and education for children from birth - to 5 years. We are year-round early learning center with our focus on growing young minds and preparing them for Kindergarten by using a researched-based curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities designed to meet the needs of each child. Our teaching team model and our small 4 classroom environment creates a positive team approach that inspires learning in the teachers and their students, promotes respect for each other and the world we live in, and empowers each person to nurture and be nurtured.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely as a teaching team to individualize the curriculum to meet the children's needs
- Support children's social and emotional needs
- Support children in a routine that ensures adequate learning, physical activity, rest, and playtime.
- Complete developmental assessments and screenings
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and the team
- Create a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Be an active learner that plays well with their peers helping to create a community where everyone feels safe, nurtured and inspired
