Job Summary:
Express Concrete Breaking and Cutting is looking for a Tool Room Attendant. The shift will be from 4:30 AM-1:00 PM.
The Tool Room Attendant will help with inventory control, checking tools in and out of the tool room, and will also help with preparing tools and equipment for field technicians. This role requires a positive attitude, self-motivation, possess leadership qualities and have strong written and oral communication skills. Be able to hold others accountable to ensure policies and rules are being followed and ensure that records of inventory are accurate and up to date when checking in and out tools.
Attendant Responsibilities.
Will include but not limited to the following:
- Clean and inspect tools and equipment daily.
- Load and unload tools and equipment onto company vehicles as needed.
- Prepares and maintains periodic inventory of tools and equipment, manually and using computer.
- Receives, unpacks, and stores tools and equipment and requisition stock to replenish inventory.
- Ensures issued tools are in good working condition and that defective tools are given to mechanics shop for inspections.
- Report any broken tools or damaged tools to shop manager.
- Maintains files and reports of loan out tools and reaches out to technicians as needed to verify that tools are not lost if tools kept for longer period then what was loaned for.
- Checks storage of fuels and request new fuel deliveries as needed.
- Perform vehicle cleanliness tasks, such as washing, vacuuming, and wiping down company vehicles.
- Assist making sure assigned work areas are clean and organized
Tool Room Attendant Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications.
- Experience with maintaining an inventory.
- Good Knowledge of demolition and construction tools, i.e. hand tools, power tools, lifting & rigging, fall protection, all around good mechanical background.
- Willing to be CPR and first aid certified
- Punctual and reliable.
- Team player attitude, ability to take direction.
- Bilingual prefer, English and Spanish.
- Follow safety rules and guidelines.
- Must project a professional attitude towards fellow employees and customers.
Tool Room Attendant Physical Requirements
- Pushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carries up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
