Human Resources Generalist

Monday- Friday, 7-3:30pm
Overview:
High voltage electrical contractor is looking to add an HR Generalist to their team! We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to assist our local team of electricians and union staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various administrative tasks related to recruitment, employee records, benefits administration, and onboarding new employees. They will also contribute to the efficient and effective functionality of the day-to-day HR processes.
Duties :
- Coordination of all new union employees with local managers, the union, and other relevant parties.
- Prepare and maintain employee files and documentation in compliance with legal standards.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation and coordinating training sessions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with HR team members and Regional Director on special projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate benefits enrollment and updates and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma is required; degree in Human Resources or a related field is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR capacity!
- Knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices in California
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mindfulness and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
