Requirements
- 3 years related experience and/or training
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or trade school preferred
- Basic Math, measuring devices and blueprint reading
- Advanced math such as trigonometry preferred
Duties Include
- Sets up and operate CNC metalworking machine tools such as lathe or milling machine to machine parts to specifications, and verifies conformance of parts to specifications.
- Ability to edit programs, change offsets and reduce set up time
- Read and interpret blue prints
- Analyze written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operators
- Set up and operate machines, including adjusting speeds and feeds, and the use of proper tooling and fixtures
- Use full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to determine acceptability of parts
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required part of PM schedule of calendar
- Read and edit programs
- Effectively and safely operator multiple machines at the same time
- Other duties as assigned
