2nd or 3rd shift
Role Purpose: Responsible for the set up and running of DMU- 5- Axis CNC equipment including deburring of parts, and verification of blueprint dimensions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Sets up and operate CNC metalworking machine tools such as DMU machine to machine parts to specifications and verifies conformance of parts to specifications.
Ability to edit programs, change offsets and reduce set up time.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Analyze written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations.
Set up and operate machines, including adjusting speeds and feeds, and the use of proper tooling and fixtures.
Use full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to determine acceptability of parts.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required part of PM schedule or calendar.
Read and edit programs.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Effectively and safely operate multiple machines at same time.
Consult with engineer and other personnel regarding product information such as design, capacity and purpose, and types of material to be used to fabricate product.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
3 years related experience and/or training.
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or trade school preferred.
Basic math, measuring devices and blueprint reading.
Advanced math such as trigonometry preferred.
MUST have DMU 5-Axis experience
