About The Position

We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant for our client partner. As a key member of the corporate accounting team and reporting to the Controller, you will oversee the accounting, reporting, and analysis of fixed assets across our operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. This is a dynamic role with opportunities to influence the financial success of the company.

Job Description/ Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets: acquisition, depreciation, and disposal
• Conduct asset audits and coordinate capital expenditure requests via repair vs replace decisions
• Prepare quarterly/annual reconciliations and depreciation schedules
• Assist with financial statement preparation and audit support
• Ensure compliance with internal controls requirements
• Manage the work order system to get work orders completed and closed promptly
• Ensure all asset attributes are recorded in the fixed asset software for warranty checks
• Identify process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, ideally within a multilocation retailer
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., FMS); experience with Sage FAM is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP depreciation methods
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
