Foreman

Our client in the Fremont area is looking for a foreman for their fabrication shop!

Pay: $25 /hr

Shift: 1st

Summary

Ideal candidates MUST have 10 years of experience in supervision, as well as 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication. Candidates will be expected to go on the floor and help when needed, as well as check on employees and ensure work is getting completed in a timely and efficient manner. Candidates will have 5 years minimum in welding and fabrication.

Job Duties

• Must be able to weld.
• MIG welding - 5 years (required)
• Own safety equipment (Helmets, steel toe shoes, etc.)
• Must be able to pass a weld test
• Must be able to follow directions, work in a team environment, and have a great attendance record
• Must be able to fabricate
• Ability to read blueprints and cut lists
• Ability to identify different structural shapes and materials in the trade
• Ability to operate equipment such as a shear, brake, angle rolls, pinch rolls, iron worker, punches, automatic band saw, forklift, overhead crane, welders, torches, misc. hand and power tools such as grinders and drills.
• Knowledge and ability to perform fit-up of parts within tolerances and according to prints
• Good welding skills and the ability to weld according to weld symbols
• Check that employees are staying in task and helping where needed
• Answer and resolve any question employees may have
  

Qualifications

• Must have 10 years of experience in a supervisor position (required)
• Must be able to pass a weld test (required)
• Must be able to read blueprints and cut lists (required)
• Must be able to weld - 5 years MINIMUM
• Must be able to fabricate - 5 years MINIMUM
• Have own tools
• Have own safety equipment (welding visor, steel toe shoes, etc.)
• Relevant certifications are preferred, but not required
