Industrial Sandblaster/Painter

Express Employment is hiring sandblasters and painters at a manufacturing plant in Columbia, MS!

• $15-$17/hr.
• Day Shift
• Full Time/Long Term

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint.
• Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.
• Safely disposing of chemical waste.
• Ensuring that high safety standards are met.
• Utilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface.
• Removing previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse.
• Painting small items and doing touch-ups.
• Utilizing electroplating equipment to coat metal.
• Polishing metallic surfaces.
• Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces.
• Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
• Load and unload the blast cabinet.
• Assist with painting or coating as needed.
• Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Previous painting or sandblasting experience or training is required.
• Experience working with or removing heavy metals is a plus.
• Physical stamina.
• Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good verbal communication.
