Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric assessments, including developmental and behavioral screenings
- Diagnose and manage mental health, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders in pediatric patients
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and social workers to develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor medications when necessary, ensuring proper follow-up and safety
- Provide guidance to parents and caregivers on behavioral management strategies, therapy options, and medication adherence
- Educate families on child development, emotional regulation, and mental health interventions
- Refer patients to specialists, therapists, and community resources as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
- Active state medical license (REQUIRED)
- Experience or interest in behavioral medicine, child psychiatry, or developmental pediatrics
- Strong knowledge of behavioral and developmental disorders in children
- Experience with psychotropic medication management for pediatric patients (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to support and educate families
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
