Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and medication-assisted treatment
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, and medical professionals to ensure integrated care
- Monitor patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and adjust care plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and medication adherence
- Stay current with developments in psychiatry, behavioral medicine, and best practices
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Active state medical license (REQUIRED)
- DEA certification for prescribing psychiatric medications
- 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric care (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy modalities, and behavioral medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and documentation
