Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for clients, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Create and update depreciation schedules for fixed assets.
- Record and post journal entries with precision and compliance with accounting standards.
- Process payroll taxes (quarterly and yearly) and ensure timely filings.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
- Stay updated on current tax laws to provide accurate advice and services to clients.
- Proficiently use QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop versions) for bookkeeping and client support.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Process and assemble client tax returns for submission.
- Work collaboratively with clients and team members to support business goals.
- Demonstrate strong 10-key proficiency for data entry and accounting tasks.
- Contribute to the long-term vision of the firm, with the potential to transition into a leadership role or ownership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in an accounting firm.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
