Seeking an experienced hardworking Industrial Painter that does not mind dirty work.
Compensation : $15 - $17 per hour
Schedule : Monday – Friday – 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM / 8 : 00AM – 4 : 00pm
- Hours range from 40 - 60 hours per week
Responsibilities
Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint flat and round steel plate materials, both structural and non-structural part surfaces utilizing all types of painting materials such as enamels, epoxies, polyesters, red oxides, potable water, jet fuel, and heat-resistant finishes.Tape, strip, and repair paint coatings as required to produce an adequate finished product.Maintain and repair airless and air-assisted painting equipment as necessary.Follow application guidelines to properly mix, apply, and clean equipment after each application.Work performed under a roof with some field work possibilities.Record and verify inventory usage.Mark and sort cut pieces according to drawings when necessary.Keep paint inventory neat and organized for easy counting and usage in the future.Wearing the proper safety equipment.Perform necessary preventative maintenance on production equipmentQualifications
1 years of related experience and / or training in painting application specifics.Ability to operate an overhead crane within OSHA safety guidelines.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Must be able to read and understand the blueprint required for the paint appliedMust be able to read and understand written and verbal instructionsMust be able to read and understand painting specifications and paint manufacturers’Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.You must be able to work and paint in tight confined spaces when necessary and use safety equipment properly.Knowledge of erecting scaffolding, rigging, and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.Must be able to fill out records that contain the temperature of the atmosphere, metal substrate, blast profile, humidity, and paint thickness readings after each paint application.Must be able to lift and / or move up to 100 poundsMust be able to learn how to operate other Production Machinery, and ability to cross-trainCompany Description
