Hospital Technical Service Representative
Location: Enid, OK
Pay Rate: $20-22/hour, BOE
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Schedule: Mon-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
The nation's leading provider of managed print services vendor within Healthcare is seeking a dynamic Healthcare Technical Service Representative with break - fix experience to join our team! The ideal candidate will specialize in printer, desktop, and hand MFP repair and know how to foster client relationships. You will play a crucial role in providing on-site support and maintenance in a medical center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Responding to service requests to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair software, networking, and hardware issues for printers independently
· Strong people skills; able to build and maintain professional, trusting relationships with client, Resident Team, and vendors; able to quickly and effectively learn the culture and uniqueness of the client environment and adapt to various personality types and reporting levels.
Preventative maintenance and calibration on a variety of printer, desktop, and hand MFP repair
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to printers and medical carts (i.e., paper jams, connectivity issues, and print quality concerns)
- Maintain a professional, polished, courteous and outgoing attitude and appearance.
- Create and execute a proactive Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule; conduct PM on devices as required by repeat issues or problematic devices.
- Create and execute a toner sweep schedule
· Keeping accurate records of helpdesk tickets and service calls, including details of repairs, parts, and time spent on each service call
Ability to troubleshoot and think independently.
-Strong people skills; able to build and maintain professional, trusting relationships with client, Resident Team, and vendors; able to quickly and effectively learn the culture and uniqueness of the client environment and adapt to various personality types and reporting levels.
-Go above and beyond for the client. Provide exceptional follow up through personal phone calls and visits. Remain visible to the client, providing constant communication, and demonstrate a helpful, service focused attitude.
-Create and execute a toner sweep schedule and onsite inventory; perform weekly sweeps in and not limited to all 24-hour departments and offsite locations.
· Collaborate with the support team and escalate complex issues when necessary to ensure prompt resolution
· Staying up to date on the latest printer models, technologies, and industry trends
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be able to problem solve, conduct written and verbal communications, read and comprehend technical information.
- High technical aptitude to master the functions and operations of multiple manufacturers’ print, copy, scan, and fax devices; as well as, being diplomatic, superb listener, and a hands-on problem-solver.
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital
· High school diploma, GED or equivalent
· Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role
· Strong knowledge of medical devices, printer hardware, including printheads, paper feed systems, and maintenance kits
· Familiarity with major printer brands such as HP, Canon, Epson, and Xerox, and ability to troubleshoot various models.
Preferred:
-3 years of experience in a professional business or service company, preferred
-Electronics or Computer Associates Degree
- Prior experience in maintaining and repair of office equipment preferred (Canon, HP, Lexmark, Okidata, Ricoh, Sharp, and Xerox experience is a plus)
-Healthcare Industry experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience in Managed Print Services or customer service
· Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
· Ability to travel up to 60% of the time in assigned territory
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
