Position Summary : We seek a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Qualifications :
Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience : Previous experience in general office cleaning or healthcare cleaning preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit, stand, and walk continually.
Frequently bend, climb, reach overhead, and carry / push / pull up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to speak and hear at normal auditory levels.
Mental Requirements :
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Continuously clean and maintain assigned areas.
Use proper body mechanics and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform routine daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning or maintenance duties.
Maintain housekeeping equipment in good repair and clean condition.
Assist in the maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Remove trash and laundry.
Perform terminal cleaning.
Assist the operating room team with cleaning and terminal cleaning.
Receive and distribute laundry.
Receive, deliver, and inventory materials in designated areas.
Follow all rules and regulations for PHI and HIPAA protections of patient information.
Adhere to all policies and procedures, including attendance and safeguarding confidential information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attend all required education sessions.

May have exposure to blood, potentially infectious body fluids, and toxic chemicals.
