Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated Payroll HR Generalist with ADP payroll processing experience and a preference for candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish. This role requires a meticulous individual who is capable of managing payroll functions and human resources duties to ensure smooth operations within our client's organization.
Pay : $30-33 / hr.
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, the opportunity for one day WFH after the six-month probationary period.
Payroll Responsibilities :
Collect, verify, and submit employee timecards using ADP.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage / hour and payroll laws, including payroll tax remittance.
Process and monitor garnishment orders.
Calculate and process expense reimbursements for payroll.
Compute and process wage changes, commissions, bonuses, and deductions.
Audit payroll for accuracy and compliance with each payroll run.
Address and resolve payroll concerns and discrepancies.
Process employment terminations, including final paychecks, in accordance with state guidelines.
HR Responsibilities :
Take ownership of various projects as directed by the HR Manager, including conducting research for HR initiatives and assisting with policy updates.
Collaborate with the HR Generalist team in onboarding, administering drug screens, background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and reference checks.
Conduct employee onboard training and track ongoing safety training for current employees.
Maintain organized personnel files and update employee records as needed.
Track and follow up on attendance calls.
Provide support to employees with questions, assistance needs, or concerns.
Maintain positive employee relationships by actively participating in committees.
Track employees' use of personal vehicles, licenses, and insurance, ensuring timely follow-ups on expirations.
Lead the annual purge of personnel records in accordance with company file retention policy.
Contribute to the team by accomplishing administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Proven experience with ADP payroll processing.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
