Job Description :
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential for our operations, ensuring the best quality and pricing. This position will be anywhere from 24-40 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supplier Research : Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective purchases.
- Negotiation : Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Purchase Orders : Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs to avoid shortages and overstock.
- Quality Assurance : Collaborate with relevant departments to assess the quality of purchased goods and resolve any issues that arise.
- Market Analysis : Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications for auditing and reporting purposes.
Must have experience in : Purchasing / Buying, Data entry, Basic Clerical, Customer Service, and Microsoft Excel / Word
