Automotive Service Manager/Writer | Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus
Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers in the Richmond area is an expanding, locally-owned automotive service provider with four full-service locations in Chesterfield and Hanover Counties, with a fifth location in construction in Powhatan. We provide a state-of-the-art facility for our technicians with a loyal customer following. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager/Writer for our upcoming new location in Powhatan, which will open in mid-March. We pay based on experience and offer strong sign-on bonuses for the right candidates. Training will be at one of shops in Midlothian or Chester until the new shop in Powhatan opens.
Our compensation plans range from $70k - $100k per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Leading and managing the operations of the shop’s repair department.
- Growing car count, taking care of customers, setting sales, and margin goals.
- Managing daily operations from the service desk – answering calls, writing estimates, talking with customers, ordering parts, controlling workflow, and maintaining quality control.
- Being the lead communicator/ customer service rep of the repair department.
- Maintaining the shop’s machines, tools, and equipment.
- Maintaining the discipline and welfare of the repair technicians.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A self-starter personality with a positive attitude and team focus.
- Desire to build long-term trust with our customers.
- A minimum of five years as a service manager/ writer in the automotive industry
- Strong experience with automotive service writing, sales, and parts.
- Virginia State Inspection License is preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- 48-50 hours per week (which includes overtime and commission compensation).
