Assistant Project Manager - Construction
Location: The Carolinas & Virginia (Ability to travel with some overnight stays required)
Job Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily activities with crews, general contractors (GC), and project superintendents. This role requires a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be proactive, disciplined, and highly strategic, with the ability to lead and maintain accountability on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations with on-site crews and the general contractor (GC).
- Attend weekly project meetings to provide updates and address issues.
- Oversee weekly crew payroll and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Take accountability for leadership and overall project execution.
- Maintain flexibility while staying true to the original scope of the project.
- Operate construction machinery, such as reach forklifts and man lifts.
- Work in a proactive manner, anticipating challenges and addressing them before they become issues.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Highly disciplined and able to stay on schedule.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Ability to follow and promote EXT company core values.
- Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Ability to take ownership of a leadership role and drive project success.
