Responsibilities:
As a Porter/Handyperson, you will be responsible for:
- Cleaning common areas.
- Taking out trash and recycling.
- Inspecting furniture, décor, and other fixtures for any needed repairs or deep cleaning.
- Bringing any safety, physical appearance, or maintenance issues to a managers attention.
- Making sure there are adequate cleaning and repair supplies.
- Helping residents with deliveries (such as groceries, newspapers, dry cleaning, packages, etc.).
- Working the service elevator.
- Assisting with emergency response service (such as sidewalk snow removal).
- Providing operational and maintenance support for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Performing general maintenance for residential units and the rest of the building, such as:
- Painting
- Drywall Repair
- Carpentry Work
- Light Bulb Replacements
- Plumbing
- Equipment Repair
- Maintaining the proficiency of fire, life, health, and safety systems.
- Delivering 5-star service to residents, guests, and fellow team members.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
If you:
- Have a high school diploma or GED and a vocational/technical background.
- Have at least 2 years of experience working with basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Can perform painting, carpentry, and finish work.
- Have worked with fire, life, health, and safety systems.
- Communicate well with residents regarding the status of their maintenance requests.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and resident information.
Then you may be a great fit for this position! Previous experience working in a luxury hotel or residential environment is a plus! Experience with Building Management Systems and a basic knowledge of computer programs will make your application stand out. The following schedule is available:
Tuesday - Thursday 11:15 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM.
Pay & Benefits:
Pay ranges from $21.59-$28.79 per hour for porter shifts and $31.57 per hour for handyperson shifts. There are also plenty of great benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and more! Apply now!
