Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Night Service Representative to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring their needs are met during their stay. Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage phone systems to ensure effective communication with guests and staff.
- Perform night audit duties as required, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to provide informed recommendations.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the hotel management system.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette while interacting with guests over the phone.
- Maintaining key controls to rooms and the front desk to include safeguarding from mishandling or theft.
- Keeps abreast of all hotel policies, training and safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly valued, enhancing guest interactions but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to log, in writing, events and prepare routine correspondence.
- Must have computer skills to be able to access and accurately input information into a computer system including Microsoft Office Suite and the Hotel PMS.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rates, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
