Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
- Lead and manage the front desk team, providing guidance on guest services and resolving any issues that arise.
- Monitor hotel performance metrics, including occupancy rates, revenue management, and guest feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment by mentoring staff and facilitating training programs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise staff
- Manage budgets and maximize revenues
- Maintain statistical and financial records
- Plan maintenance work, events, and room bookings
- Handle customer complaints and queries
- Promote and market the business
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and licensing laws
- Conduct daily check-ins with each department
- Perform administrative duties, including payroll and safety training
- Conduct staff training meetings for exceptional service
- Inspect guest rooms and "back of house" areas to meet brand and company standards
- Walk/be present on property during shift changes to ensure communication of daily priorities
- Manage the front desk and ensure an A customer experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience at least 2 years in a hotel management or hospitality management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and delegate.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in front desk operations and knowledge of hotel management software.
- Experienced in human resource practices related to hiring, training, and employee relations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise employees in Front Desk, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, performance appraisal, reward and discipline, and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a hotel management role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Language skills: Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate
- Computer skills: Proficiency in internet, spreadsheet, word processing, email, and hotel management software
Physical Demands:
- Frequent talking or hearing, occasional standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise level. Professional attire required.
