Our partner is looking for an International Account Manager to drive our international growth strategy and oversee distributor partnerships across global markets. This role will be responsible for managing key distributor relationships, optimizing retail expansion, and ensuring seamless execution across all sales channels. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, detail-oriented, and a strong collaborator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, international environment.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Distributor & International Market Management:
- Lead and manage relationships with international distributors, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy and brand standards.
- Oversee distributor performance, including sales targets, market penetration, and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Partner with distributors to drive new product launches, in-store activations, and promotional campaigns tailored to each market.
- Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
Retail & Channel Expansion:
- Manage relationships with key international retailer accounts in collaboration with distributors.
- Oversee new item set-up and distribution changes across international markets, ensuring seamless execution.
- Work closely with the Operations team to coordinate international logistics, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) shipment of all distributor orders.
- Align with Customer Service and local distributor teams to create sample programs for hospitals, doctors' offices, and key retail accounts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, and Operations) to develop region-specific marketing and sales initiatives.
Sales & Performance Analytics:
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and distributor performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Provide forecasting and demand planning support to ensure adequate product availability in international markets.
- Lead the development of Quarterly Distributor & Retailer Reports & newsletters to share insights, performance updates, and strategic recommendations.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in international sales, distributor management, or retail account management in CPG.
- Experience managing distributors, international retailers, and multi-market sales strategies.
- Proficiency with retail platforms (e.g., Retail Link, Stibo, Partners Online) and international supply chain operations.
- Strong project management skills with experience launching products in multiple global markets.
- Ability to travel internationally (up to 50%).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and sales forecasting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
