What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at Extension, Inc?
Extension is seeking a Controller for a Direct-Hire position for one of our clients located in Germantown, WI.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as month-end close of the P&L, financial analysis, reporting and internal controls. The candidate will also be a key member of the site leadership team and serve as the finance and accounting leader.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and lead analysis of operational data
- Direct and validate all accounting activities such as labor distribution, inventories, accounts payable, closed order variances, and fixed assets transactions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Lead and manage internal and external financial statement audit requirements
- Lead annual plans/budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 8 years experience working at a plant
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience with supervision/management
- Proven ability to implement processes efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of US GAAP
