Who You Are:
The Recruiting & People Intern position is a 12-week program designed to introduce emerging professionals to the PEO industry and the world of Recruiting & People as a career opportunity. Our internship program was created to support the next generation of talent in finding meaningful professional development experiences within the industry. You will grow with the help of your direct manager, be exposed to different leadership, departments, and other interns, and create lasting connections.
What You'll Do:
Administrative
- Background Checks
- Internal Applicant Approval
- New Hire Onboarding
- Reporting out of Applicant Tracking System
- Development of Job Descriptions & Ads
- Assisting with the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events
- Assisting with employee onboarding, including new hire orientation training and processing new hire paperwork
- Assisting with HR administrative tasks, such as maintaining HR files and updating HR systems
- Participating in HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Assisting with the creation of communication materials, such as company-wide emails, announcements, and flyers
- Providing support for employee recognition and rewards programs
- Providing support to employees with HR-related questions and concerns
- Conducting research on HR best practices and assisting with the implementation of new HR initiatives as it relates to employee engagement and culture building
- Collaborating with the People team to develop and implement new initiatives to improve the employee experience
Market Analysis
- Salary Analysis
- Weekly Report on Job Market Trends
Interviewing/ Client Interaction
- Sit in on Client Kickoff Calls
- Listen to and eventually perform entry level Phone Screenings
- Be present at conversations surrounding recruitment strategy
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience working in a professional setting.
- An interest in, or 0-2 years of experience working in recruiting or talent acquisition is preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and payroll processing software. Strong Excel experience preferred.
What We Offer:
The intern program is designed to provide opportunities to:
- Hourly rate of pay $15.00
- Timely complete assigned analysis and reconciliations
- Completion of weekly 1 on 1 meetings with Supervisor
