Job Description
Operates as a business partner to management in the area of talent management in a 70-employee warehouse/distribution center environment, including recruitment. A hybrid or fully on-site work arrangement is available for this position. 100% remote candidates will not be considered.
- Responding to and managing employee relations matters, escalating as appropriate
- Facilitating new hire onboarding and orientation activities
- Responding to employee inquiries around pay and benefits
- Facilitating the employee performance review process for assigned location
- Recruiting and onboarding assigned open positions (may be in SC or other locations)
- Partnering with third-party staffing vendors on temporary and temporary-to-hire staffing activities
- Managing the background check and onboarding process for hired candidates
- Utilizing the HR system (UKG) and established processes to manage the recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintaining up-to-date data and information for regular and ad hoc reporting on HR activities
- Maintaining regular communication with managers, internal stakeholders, employees, and candidates for assigned open positions
- Ensuring compliance with HR policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Supporting training and development requirements and initiatives for assigned location
- Leading employee engagement activities for assigned location
- Contributing to cross-functional and HR initiatives/improvement efforts across the larger Padagis organization
The ideal candidate will work independently in the context of broadly defined procedures. This role typically requires an in-depth knowledge of the organization, recruitment and interviewing skills, and general HR practices. The mix of HR activities/recruitment and staffing will vary from time to time based on business needs and priorities.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field; a combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree requirement
- 5 years of relevant experience
- 3 years of employee relations experience
- 1 years of full-life-cycle recruitment experience, as primary responsibility or as part of a generalist role
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to navigate shifting priorities and changing work assignments
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word)
Preferred qualifications:
- HR experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse/distribution center environment
- HR certification
- Experience with UKG or similar HRIS products
- Experience or knowledge in AI as it applies to HR activities
