We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team IN PERSON on a part-time basis. This could easily transition into full-time if desired and willing to do other office duties such as reception/secretary work. Our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, Fusion, streamlines the billing process, making it easy for someone with the right expertise to handle.
Responsibilities:
1) Investigate and resolve billing-related issues as assigned weekly.
2) Address outstanding claims, payment delays, and any other billing discrepancies.
3) Submit authorizations, complete verifications, and handle claim submissions efficiently.
4) Communicate effectively with team members regarding billing matters.
Requirements:
1) Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
2) Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing.
3) Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments
4) Technical understanding of reimbursement policies and procedures of various third-party payors and medical assistance programs
5) Knowledge of insurance guidelines and problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections
