Summary
As a Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist in our pediatric clinic, you’ll play a vital role in creating a supportive and welcoming environment for our patients and their families navigating complex medical needs. We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate individual who thrives in a playful yet professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families with a warm, professional, and cheerful attitude, both in-person and over the phone.
- Schedule appointments efficiently to optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and update records as needed.
- Assist families with completing new patient paperwork and other correspondence.
- Collect co-payments and process financial transactions accurately.
- Respond to phone and email inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Confirm patient appointments and manage the clinic’s daily schedule.
- Perform routine administrative duties such as preparing patient charts, verifying insurance, managing incoming mail, and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Support the billing team with basic tasks, including insurance authorizations and resolving billing issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; additional education or certifications in office administration, healthcare, or related fields are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- A love for working with children and the ability to adapt to the playful, empowering, and supportive environment of a pediatric clinic.
- Basic office skills, including proficiency with MS Office, data entry, and telephone etiquette.
- Basic math skills for payment collection and financial transactions.
- Willingness to learn medical billing tasks (experience with medical billing is a plus).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service and continuous learning.
