Position Summary: PRN PACU RN in busy Ophthalmology ASC
Assists in the organization and daily function of the Post-operative setting within the ASC in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. Assists the physicians and directs medical assistants in delivering the highest standard of patient care available.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current TX RN license, BLS and ACLS. BSN preferred. Preferred minimum one (1) year of ambulatory surgery clinical experience as a registered nurse.

- Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience in a hospital, operating room or ambulatory surgery center. Ability to anticipate the needs of the physician and has equipment, instrumentation, medical gases and supplies readily available for all procedures. Willingness to assume additional assignments on an as needed basis.

- Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies
- Assures emergency equipment and supplies are available at all times.
- Keeps PACU suites clean, tidy, free of soiled equipment and supplies, and properly stocked.
- Follows established policies and procedures for medication administration.
- Wears appropriate attire in restricted area.
- Adheres to recommended traffic patterns.
- Demonstrates knowledge in the safe care and handling of medications.
- Demonstrates knowledge of policy and procedures.
- Assists with inventory management.
- Supervise Medical Assistants

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
