Job Overview
We are small optometric business seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. We are looking to fill shifts on Monday late morning and Tuesday and Thursday mid afternoon/early evening. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing various administrative tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee calendar management, scheduling appointments.
- Serve as the front desk representative, greeting visitors and handling inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist in general office management tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while answering calls and directing them appropriately.
- Using simple point and click machines and data entry into the computer
- Manage office files and documentation, ensuring all records are organized and easily accessible.
Skills
- Strong calendar management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Friendly demeanor towards clients and visitors.
- Knowledge of office management practices to ensure efficient workflow.
- Familiarity with general computer skills. I.E. Data entry, scanning, etc
- Strong phone etiquette skills for professional communication over phone systems.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in file management and organizational techniques to maintain an orderly workspace.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
