Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Services Supervisor to join our leadership team. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Medical Services Manager by helping oversee the day-to-day clinical operations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met. You’ll work closely with ophthalmic technicians, scribes, physicians, and administrative staff to promote smooth clinic workflows and an outstanding patient experience.
This is a hands-on, leadership support position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative healthcare setting and is passionate about team development and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Medical Services Manager in managing the clinical team and ensuring smooth daily operations
- Supervise, coach, and assist ophthalmic technicians and scribes in their roles
- Perform full duties of ophtalmic technician and/or scribe as needed.
- Help coordinate clinic flow and staffing to ensure timely, efficient patient care
- Promote and uphold the “Yes Clinic” culture throughout the clinical team
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and best practices
- Serve as a liaison between clinical and administrative departments
- Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of new team members
- Help track and report on departmental performance and patient satisfaction metrics
- Taking morning call outs.
- Assist Manager with creation of weekly schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
- "1 years of supervisory or team lead experience in healthcare preferred; ophthalmology/optometry experience strongly preferred."
- Experience as an ophthalmic technician or scribe.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to foster teamwork, motivate staff, and solve problems in real-time.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
