JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Receptionist / Call Center
DEPARTMENT: Front Office
REPORTS TO: Front Office Supervisor
Job Summary: Answer telephone in an enthusiastic, courteous professional manner. Direct calls to appropriate personnel. When scheduling appointments, collect all pertinent information from patient (insurance and demographics) and enter in computer. Reschedule and cancel appointments as necessary. Keep active cancellation list, update recalls, and confirm appointments.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two years minimum experience in customer service.

2. Strong and experienced background in data entry.
3. Ability to work as a team member.
4. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Highly motivated and organized.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Data Entry and Chart Administration
· Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as necessary. Filing of reports and charts. Update patient recalls as necessary.
2. Telephone and Greeting
· Answer telephone calls promptly (two rings). Address the patient’s concern in calling. Direct all calls to appropriate personnel. Identify emergency calls and schedule appropriately.
3. Consistent Patient Follow-Up
· Keep active cancellation list and use as necessary. Confirm all appointments.
4. Financial Responsibilities
· Obtain proper insurance information. Monitor the postage meter and enter postage when needed. Contact repair service when copies are in need of servicing. Provide fee schedules and insurance information to patients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
