Job Title: Optical Assistant / Non-Licensed Optician
Location: Sarasota, FL
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)Description:
We are a busy and growing eye care practice in Sarasota seeking a motivated and experienced Optical Assistant or Non-Licensed Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support our Optical Director in day-to-day operations
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with frame selection, fittings, and adjustments
- Dispense and educate on contact lens use
- Collaborate with Optometrists and support staff
- Manage inventory of frames and lenses
- Understand and explain insurance and optical terminology
- Occasionally support front office team
Qualifications:
- Previous optical experience required
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
