Our ophthalmology practice in Durham, NC seeks candidates with the following
-certification as an ophthalmic technician (COT) or assistant (COA)
-previous experience working with a cataract surgeon doing patient workups:
Patient HPIs
Visual Acuity
Checking Pupils , EOMs and Confrontation Visual Fields
Manifest Refractions
Tonometry using Goldman applanation
Biometry using IOL Master
Visual Fields
OCTs of optic nerves and macula
-Strong computer skills are a MUST
The position requires :
-at least one year experience demonstrating efficiency and proficiency in ALL off the above skills (Please do not apply if you do not already have these skills)
-a consistently positive attitude and willingness to be helpful to patients and staff alike
-a consistently professional demeanor
-the ability to work with a sense of urgency and to use time efficiently
The position is Monday - Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
