About the Job
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Team Leader to join our team at the Eye Surgery Center of Elizabethtown. As a Surgical Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, including coordinating breaks, lunch schedules, and daily log checks. You will also be responsible for supervising and directing patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment, and participate in training new staff when needed.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct patient care, coordinate breaks and lunch schedules, and enforce policies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and accreditation standards, and immediately report any unusual occurrences to charge personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required, Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience required, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and/or hospital.
- Licensure: Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
