Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Health Services plays a vital role in assisting the Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership: Coordinates with the Director of Health Services to select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team.
Nursing Coordination: Assists in coordinating nursing and ancillary services as needed with other department leaders to ensure continuity of care.
Quality Assurance: Participates in implementing and maintaining our Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Accreditation: Prepares for facility surveys and accreditation programs made by authorized regulatory agencies.
Administrative Duties: Completes medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree or higher.
Experience: 0-1 years of experience in healthcare management or related field.
Licenses/Certifications: Current, valid state RN license and CPR certification.
