Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Charge Nurse to join our team at The Eye Surgery Center of Elizabethtown. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our facility, including coordinating breaks, lunches, daily log checks, schedules, and enforcing policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in direct patient care and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
• Supervise and direct patient care in an individual operating room, immediately reporting unusual occurrences to charge personnel and documenting appropriately in the patient record.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and/or hospital setting. You should also have previous nursing experience in settings such as the Operating Room (OR), Pre-Op/Post-Op, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Additionally, you should possess knowledge of NextGen Database software and Microsoft Word, as well as printer, copier, telephone, and fax operations.
