WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are an EMR software company headquartered in Bonita Springs, Florida. We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that the company’s financial transactions are processed efficiently and correctly to ensure the organization's financial health. The Bookkeeper will handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and support month-end closing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with the finance team. A detailed background check is required for this position.
WHAT BASIC QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and similar.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to adhere to deadlines and due dates.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of software development industry financial regulations and accounting practices.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and tax laws.
- Knowledge of project-based accounting or job costing.
- Knowledge of cloud-based accounting and financial platforms.
- Experience with advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, macros, etc.
- Experience with financial reporting for executive teams or board members.
- Knowledge of Sales Tax processes
