Juniper is Growing! We are seeking an entry-level Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves proactive communication with customers, collaboration with internal teams to resolve billing issues, and accurate posting and reconciliation of receivables. The Accounts Receivable Specialist also supports reporting, trend analysis, and the month-end close process to help drive the company’s financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts, identify overdue balances, and conduct proactive outreach to resolve payment delays, negotiate arrangements, and maintain detailed records of collection efforts.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, payment terms, and account balances, working to resolve disputes professionally and support strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including sales, operations, and branch leadership—to ensure accurate invoicing and timely resolution of billing or payment issues.
- Escalate high-risk or unresolved accounts appropriately, coordinating with leadership or legal as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date AR records by posting payments, applying credits and adjustments, processing refunds or credit memos, and reconciling customer accounts.
- Generate and review aging reports, analyze collection trends, and assist in preparing reports to support leadership visibility into AR performance and revenue forecasting.
- Support month-end close by ensuring AR data integrity, preparing related journal entries, and assisting with account reconciliations and reporting tasks.
- Follow, promote, and enforce all labor laws, safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and general accounting processes required.
- Experience with Aspire and Acumatica systems preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in computer and technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and mobile devices.
