About the Role: The Sales/Service Account Management (SAM) position is a key technical sales & service role responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across our customer base. This position combines sales acumen with technical understanding, acting as a trusted advisor to clients, mostly in the industrial manufacturing sector. The SAM will manage existing accounts, develop new business opportunities, and oversee service delivery, ensuring long-term customer relationships and revenue generation. The SAM reports to the Sales Manager to support all aspects of sales and customer support activities. The SAM must be an excellent communicator and comfortable selling industrial equipment B2B. This position offers significant earning potential and the chance to join a dynamic, growing company at an early stage. Travel up to 35% on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include account management/customer support and sales support/marketing. Secondary responsibility is to directly support Sales Manager with new account sales efforts including responding to inbound web/phone inquiries and prospecting.
Account Management & Technical Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Respond to client inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients, either directly or by coordinating with technical experts.
- Coordinate and schedule service visits, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Understand clients' specific wastewater treatment needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Ensure customer satisfaction via conducting service visits and installation/start-up trips.
Sales Support/Marketing:
- Actively seek out referrals from current accounts – if our customers are satisfied, they will likely refer EZ to others
- Assist in the generation of high-quality proposals for parts, consumables, and/or new equipment
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all sales documentation, update sales materials as necessary
- Develop sales collateral, including brochures, presentations, and case studies as needed
- Assist with prospective customer follow-ups
- Assist with generating and posting short-form content like blog posts and videos to the ez-vap.com website, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales data within the CRM system
- Assist sales manager with market analysis and reporting; provide regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market opportunities
- Attend trade shows and other industry events on an as-needed basis
New Account Sales:
- Respond to new prospect web/phone inquiries, conduct consultative introductory call, and qualify or disqualify opportunities
- Generating and delivering quality proposals
- Conducting follow-ups to prospects at appropriate regular intervals
- When appropriate, conduct site visits to assess needs in a technical consultative way and close business
- Maintain accurate sales records, log notes in CRM after all customer interactions
- Search EZ Industrial’s CRM database (Hubspot) for dormant leads AND existing customers who may have additional opportunity and follow up
- Actively seek out referrals from current accounts – if our customers are satisfied, they will likely refer EZ to others
- Prospecting by identifying target businesses using local trade associations, LinkedIn, attending trade shows, and other publicly available information sources.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of technical work experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in science (engineering, environmental science, chemistry, etc.) or a comparable amount of industry relevant work experience and industry-specific training.
- Aptitude for technical sales and/or customer support with a proven track record of success
- Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment is preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 35%.
- Must have a sincere desire to learn, and an appreciation for high customer satisfaction

This position requires working indoors and occasionally outdoors during all weather conditions. Individual will be exposed to noise from machinery and a variety of odors. The position requires moderate activity with frequent walking, standing for long periods, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, lifting, and ladder work. It may require the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds regularly. The position requires the employee work around electricity and water, plumbing equipment, and a variety of chemical used within the wastewater treatment systems.
