Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the permit application process by obtaining necessary documents from engineering teams and securing required approvals.
- Permit Fiber optic OSP facilities using best practices and industry knowledge.
- Creating and reviewing comprehensive permit applications, interacting with project design professionals, and Ezee Partners.
- Review vendor-produced designs/permit drafts to ensure they meet strict Ezee Fiber design standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with third-party team members, permitting officials, and local authorities to advance project objectives
- Prepare and submit required permitting applications, ensuring compliance with agency and board requirements, and update issued plans for accuracy
- Analyze Right of Way, Public Utility easement, and private property documents, including but not limited to survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography, and other geographic data for consideration in Fiber optic design projects.
- Coordinate permit-related paperwork and applications, updating and monitoring status.
- Provide weekly reports, updates, and project tracking milestones to internal and external resources as needed.
- Support OSP construction teams as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, GIS, or 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- ArcGIS/ESRI Products work experience required.
- Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, etc..)
- General knowledge of FTTH/Telecom industry design principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting site plans
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects coupled with experience in working with fast-paced engineering in a production environment.
