Primary Responsibilities
- Own inventory reconciliation process
- Research and rectify inventory discrepancies as they occur
- Partner closely with Purchasing and Warehouse staff to ensure smooth system process
- Oversee inventory coding within system to ensure aligns with internal policies and procedures
- Assist in scheduled inventory counts providing accounting oversight and reconciling to system
- Lead research and proper coding for any inventory variances
- Oversee project accounting processes to ensure financial and reporting accuracy
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and financial reporting to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Conduct project audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and tools, including NetSuite, to streamline accounting processes.
- Support year-end audit and tax preparation activities.
- Collaborate with project managers to track and manage capital projects.
- Ensure timely capitalization of completed projects and accurate recording of project costs.
- Provide financial insights and support for decision-making related to capital investments.
- Assist Corporate Controller to develop and implement effective internal controls.
- Ensure PO processes and disbursements are compliance with company policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, CPA or CMA a plus
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, prefer at least 3 project accounting related.
- Experience in the telecommunications or construction industry is highly desirable,
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, NetSuite a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
