Director of Accounting

Job Description:
The Director of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within the organization. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with all accounting regulations and standards, and providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards, including GAAP
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, including monthly financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office and accounting software including Quickbooks
